
A tragic accident in Shiawassee County, Michigan has claimed the life of a 14-year-old and left two other teenagers hospitalized. MLive reports that on July 18, deputies responded to a crash involving an off-road vehicle at around 12:41 p.m. near Reed Road and Pittsburg Road in Vernon Township. According to their account, the vehicle rolled after leaving the roadway, leading to the ejection of the 14-year-old passenger who was later found deceased by first responders.
Details provided by ABC12 indicate that the vehicle, a side-by-side UTV, was being operated by a 15-year-old when it overturned and ejected the 14-year-old victim. The incident was reported near the intersection of Reed and Pittsburg roads, and the deceased was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured parties, which included the 15-year-old driver, and another 14-year-old passenger were transported to a hospital, but details on their condition were not immediately available.
Investigations are ongoing, with the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office spearheading the efforts to uncover the circumstances of the crash.
