Two individuals lost their lives in a parking lot shooting at a Southeast Side H-E-B, according to San Antonio police. The fatal incident, as reported by KSAT, occurred late Sunday night in the 4100 block of South New Braunfels Avenue. It is currently under investigation.
Preliminary details suggest that the male and female victims, seemingly in the prime of life, believed to be in their 30s and 40s, were there to meet someone. Police have been told an altercation arose during this meeting, which tragically led to the pair being shot, as per Fox San Antonio. Fleeing the scene in the white SUV, the shooter remains at large.
The victims, discovered by officers with fatal gunshot wounds, were pronounced dead at the scene. At this juncture, the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office will be taking measures to confirm the identities and exact ages of the deceased.
With the suspect's description still pending, investigators are scouring for evidence that might lead to an arrest. In a white SUV that was seen driving off after the shooting, the police are on the lookout for this individual, further details of whom are yet to be released.
