The Round Rock Police Department is currently investigating a shooting at the Bellwood Apartments that has left two dead and two injured. The shooting occurred on July 12, after two groups met to complete a firearm sale arranged earlier. The transaction went awry, and gunfire ensued at the apartment complex located at 1401 S A.W. Grimes Blvd.
According to the authorities, when the officers arrived on the scene around 1 p.m., they found four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Amid the chaos, two victims managed to be transported to nearby hospitals for urgent care. However, two others, young men from neighboring Texas communities, were pronounced deceased at the scene of the crime.
The deceased have been identified by the police as Bryan Kinney, 17, of Austin, and Samuel Mason, 18, of Pflugerville.
