Two individuals were hospitalized yesterday after an incident where a vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a pond in Ocoee, as reported by the local authorities. Ocoee Police Department officers responded to reports of a single-car accident around 3:45 p.m. on Clarke Road, just north of Silver Star Road.
According to a statement reported by ClickOrlando, the southbound car departed the roadway before ending up in a retention pond. First responders arrived swiftly at the crash site, where they found both the driver and a passenger requiring immediate medical attention.
The driver's condition, updated later that evening, was listed as good. However, the passenger's condition was more dire, with FOX35 Orlando reporting they were in the ICU in critical condition. At the time of reporting, their names had not yet been released to the public.
