
Two individuals were hospitalized following a shooting at Euclid's Space Cadet smoke shop last night. According to Cleveland19 News, the incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. at the Lakeshore Boulevard establishment. In an update provided by the Euclid Fire Department, the victims were reported to be in stable condition after being taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The Euclid Police gave further details, sharing that the shooting took place at approximately 6:20 p.m., and the suspect was taken into custody by officers at the scene.WKYC reports confirmed that the victims, one male and one female, sustained gunshot wounds to the groin and foot, respectively. They are currently receiving care at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Euclid Police Chief Scott Meyer gave a statement on the nature of the incident. "There was a disturbance that occurred where a male suspect fired rounds hitting an adult male and an adult female," he stated, as reported by FOX8 News. The quick response of law enforcement led to the apprehension of the suspect and the recovery of a firearm, likely used in the crime.
