A robbery in Severn, which occurred last night, has led to the arrest of two teenagers, both 15 years of age. According to the Anne Arundel County press release, the incident occurred in the 8400 block of Carinoso Way around 8:00 p.m., where the victim had arranged to purchase clothing from an acquaintance. This transaction turned sour when a second suspect appeared, insinuating possession of a handgun, and coerced the victim into surrendering cash and other belongings.
Officers responding to the scene spotted one suspect crossing Reese Road, who then attempted to evade capture. In the aftermath of a foot pursuit, supported by both K-9 and helicopter units, police successfully apprehended the fleeing individual. The second suspect, identified in the aftermath, was located and arrested shortly thereafter. According to the press release, "no weapons were displayed or located during this incident."
The two suspects, both from Severn, Maryland, have been formally charged; however, their names have not been released due to their minor status. Details regarding their charges or subsequent legal proceedings have not been made public at this time.
