Tomorrow at noon, the annual celebration of Bronzeville's vibrant culture and commerce is set to get its official unveiling. Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs will be front and center at Niche Book Bar on N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. to offer a first look at the upcoming festivities for Bronzeville Week 2025. Joined by sponsors and community leaders, Alderwoman Coggs will spotlight what's in store for the 15th incarnation of this storied event.
As the beating heart of African-American culture in Milwaukee, Bronzeville Week's slate is crowded with the arts, history, music, and much more. Starting on August 2 with the HaRUNbee 5K Walk/Run for healthy births and families, the week promises to be a kaleidoscope of community and celebration. A full schedule awaits attendees, and it's accessible for those eager to plan their week. The schedule may be subject to change, so keep an eye on updates, which can be found on the official Bronzeville Week Facebook page.
For those new to the experience, the week captures more than just moments of joy – it encapsulates the spirit of a neighborhood's journey through time and the triumphs of its people. Mark your calendars for an immersive eight days, commencing on August 2, that encapsulates the energy and entrepreneurial spirit that has long defined this historic Milwaukee district.
