Get ready to kick off your summer vibes at Upper Arlington's Party on the Plaza this Thursday, July 17. As reported by the city's official announcement, the Municipal Services Center "point," located where Tremont meets Kenny, is set to host an evening sprinkled with vibrant live music, an array of food choices, and the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing beverage under a summer sky casually.
According to the City of Upper Arlington's official website, the tunes are scheduled to begin promptly at 6 pm. The lineup promises to blend rhythm and melody, starting with The Solutions Band, followed by Columbus Soul and Salvage at 7:30 pm. Make sure to arrive early to grab a good spot, as the music is bound to get everyone grooving quickly.
For those looking to satisfy their hunger, a diverse selection of food trucks will be on site. Little Ladies Soft Serve will be delivering desserts and ice cream, while Machete Taqueria brings Mexican/Latin American flavors with their tacos. Mustafa’s Halal Gyro will offer Middle Eastern and Pakistani cuisine, not to mention the American barbeque wraps from Paddy Wagon. The Daily Growler is also set up to quench your thirst with beer, wine, and seltzer.
The event isn't just about the food and music either—several community booths will be hosted by the City’s Community Relations Committee, UA Police, and the Upper Arlington Library. It's a great chance to engage with local organizations and to probably learn something new about the community you're a part of.
No need to worry about parking; the city has arranged for accessible spots in the MSC WEST lot via Tremont Road. More parking is available off Kenny Road in the EAST lot, at the OSU Golf Course, and Advent Lutheran Church.
