
The Maui Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 74-year-old Gerald Boiani, a resident of Kihei who was reported missing on Tuesday. Mr. Boiani did not return from a walk on Monday. He requires medication, and authorities are requesting anyone with information to come forward, as stated by the Maui Police Department.
The Maui Police Department reported that Mr. Boiani was last seen at around 1:00 p.m. on Monday. He had left his residence near Luluka Place in Kihei, reportedly to go for a walk. He is described as 5-foot-9, 145 pounds, bald, with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black and grey shorts, and his shirt color is unknown. Attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful, as his cell phone is turned off.
According to the Maui Police Department on their Facebook page, Mr. Boiani, a missing man from Kihei who needs medication and is known to walk without a vehicle, has not been found. The search has expanded to nearby areas. Police released a photo of him from 2020, which is the most recent available. Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency number 808-244-6400 or 911 in an emergency, referencing report number 25-019085.
