In a somber turn of events, Vallejo has recorded its eighth homicide of the year. According to a press release by the Vallejo Police Department, yesterday, emergency services were called to assist an unconscious woman in the 400 block of Admiral Callaghan Lane shortly after 1:30 AM. Responding to the scene, the Vallejo Fire Department discovered the woman with at least one gunshot wound and transported her to a local hospital for urgent care.
Despite the hospital's life-saving attempts, she was pronounced dead at 12:32 PM the same day. The Vallejo Police Department, now spearheading the homicide investigation, is diving deep to unearth the motive and circumstances of the shooting.
The Solano County Coroner's Office is holding back the woman's identity, notifying kin before making any disclosure to the public.
