The Vallejo Police Department made several arrests after reports of gunfire on Lincoln Road West earlier this month. The police responded to the scene last Thursday, where witnesses claimed to have seen a gold Infiniti fleeing the area, according to a social media post from the department.

Police efforts to address the reports of gunfire led to a vehicular chase when the same Infiniti returned to the vicinity. The driver, in a seeming attempt to evade the police, careened into a nearby cul-de-sac and came to a stop before the occupants tried to escape on foot. A witness had reported to officers that the car was linked to the shots fired.

According to the Vallejo Police Department's Facebook page, a chase ensued as officers followed the suspects on foot. The driver was seen with a gun in his hand before he discarded it onto the roof of a residential building, and his attempted escape over a barbed-wire-topped fence was thwarted when the police caught up with him.

The juvenile driver was detained safely, and the firearm, an unregistered Glock with an extended magazine, was recovered from atop a residence. The passenger, an adult male on probation, was also apprehended without incident. Both suspects were taken into custody. The unlicensed juvenile was later booked into the Solano County Juvenile Detention Facility, and the adult was booked into Solano County Jail.
