Last Saturday, residents of Vallejo's 60 block of Admiral Callaghan Lane were brought to high alert following the sounds of gunfire echoing through the neighborhood. Vallejo Police Department's social media post detailed the incident wherein a verbal altercation escalated rapidly as a man reportedly pointed and discharged a firearm multiple times into the air before hastily fleeing the scene in a Toyota Camry.
Vallejo Police responded to a call and found several used bullet casings in the area, confirming the reports. With help from witnesses, they got a description of the suspect and his car, which led them to a parked Camry on Fleming Court. When officers tried to arrest him, the suspect tried to flee but quickly crashed into a tree after breaking several traffic laws.
Officers safely arrested the suspect. Inside his car, they found his ID and a loaded, unregistered gun. Witnesses confirmed he was involved, and since he already had past felony convictions, he now faces several new charges, including firing a gun dangerously, running from police, and illegal gun possession.
