Deputy Bahena from Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a call about a license plate switch on the 26300 block of the Northwest Freeway, thanks to a watchful community member. According to a Facebook post by Precinct 4, a vigilant tip led to the discovery of a stolen vehicle, abandoned by a female suspect engaged in the old license plate shuffle.
As reported by Constable Mark Herman's Office, the suspect was gone when law enforcement arrived, but the vehicle left behind was confirmed to be stolen. Although the suspect is still at large, recovering the vehicle shows the value of community involvement. "If you see something suspicious, say something," the post read. The investigation continues as the precinct works to identify the suspect and follow new leads.
