According to an advisory from the Metropolitan Police Department, the event will prompt significant traffic changes in the District of Columbia.
Starting today at 7:00 PM and lasting through Saturday at 3:00 PM, parking will be prohibited and streets will be closed in preparation for the festivities. Notably, 13th Street from E Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, and Pennsylvania Avenue from 14th Street to 12th Street, NW, will see restrictions. Organizers and city officials urge motorists to plan around these disruptions and seek alternative routes.
The closures are set to ensure the safety and smooth operation of the holiday celebrations, which typically attract a large crowd.
