The City of West Allis is offering ENGAGE: Getting to Know the City of West Allis, a series of free community leadership workshops. The program is designed to inform residents and local business owners about the structure and operations of city services, provide opportunities to connect with local officials, and present information on the city's history, business environment, and community functions. Registration is available for interested participants, with limited seating and a requirement to attend all five sessions.
According to an announcement from the City of West Allis, these workshops will stretch across five consecutive Wednesdays—September 3, 10, 17, 24, and October 1—from 6 to 8 p.m. Each session will be held at MKE CoWork, located at 7311 W. Greenfield Ave. Every meeting will include a presentation by a guest speaker, a group discussion on a relevant topic, and an optional networking session for participants who wish to stay afterward and engage further with fellow attendees.
The workshop series is structured to provide information about city operations and encourage community involvement. It offers participants an overview of local governance and processes. Each session is designed to support increased understanding of municipal functions and promote opportunities for resident participation in civic activities.
Registration is free but required for participation in the meetings to ensure an accurate count of attendees. For more information and to register for the workshops, individuals are advised to visit the City of West Allis website.
