The White Settlement Police Department is proudly welcoming three new officers to its ranks following their graduation from the North Central Texas Council of Governments Regional Police Academy. The department's social media post highlighted the ceremony held in Arlington, where Officers Llajaira Bolanos, Luke Osborne, and Netta Stokes were among dozens of recruits from across North Texas to mark the completion of their training. According to the White Settlement Police Department, the ceremony also featured the WSPD Honor Guard, who presented the Colors during the National Anthem.
The new officers are set to begin their field training this week, a crucial step in their transition to full-fledged law enforcement duties. In the words of the White Settlement PD's announcement, the officers are "excited to serve alongside WSPD's Finest and eager to meet residents." The integration of these new officers into the community is about to solidify with hands-on experience that will hopefully prepare them to successfully safeguard the streets they're getting ready to patrol.
Chief Cook had the honor of serving as the keynote speaker at the graduation, imparting wisdom and encouragement to the fresh graduates. The presence of local dignitaries such as Mayor Faron Young and City Manager Jeff James, accompanying the command staff, underscored the importance of the celebration. Acknowledging the dedication of those who had contributed to the officers' readiness, special acknowledgment was given to Director Christy Martinez and her staff for preparing the officers to serve their respective communities.
