Following a violent incident in Moreno Valley, homicide detectives are currently investigating the death of 19-year-old Angelo Leivas. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office disclosed that Leivas, who hailed from Banning, was found with gunshot wounds yesterday and later succumbed to his injuries in a local hospital. The suspected murderer, 19-year-old Jacob Necochea, also from Banning, was arrested and charged with murder. He is presently being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center.

The initial emergency call dispatched deputies to Day Street in Moreno Valley at around 4:05 a.m. on the day of the incident. Responding to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, they arrived to discover the victim already critically injured. The suspect managed to initially flee the scene. However, within an hour, deputies located the suspect's vehicle in Moreno Valley and detained Necochea, who was alone in the car at the time. according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
