A tragic hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a 19-year-old in Westmoreland County, prompting an ongoing investigation by Pennsylvania State Police. According to WPXI, the crash occurred just before 11 p.m. last night on College Avenue near North Greengate Road in Hempfield Township. Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson reported that Jayden Lynch was operating a motorized bike westbound when struck by another vehicle.
Coroner Carson stated that Lynch, fatally injured by the collision, was not wearing a helmet at the time. The driver responsible has yet to be identified, having fled the scene instead of rendering aid or providing information. As the investigation proceeds, the authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect or the involved vehicle.
In their ongoing hunt for the perpetrator, Pennsylvania State Police are calling on the public for assistance. WTAE reported that the police are determined to find and apprehend the individual responsible for this fatal incident.
