
A grim hit-and-run incident has claimed the life of a 20-year-old woman in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood. The tragic event unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, when Tori Dunn was struck by a vehicle while crossing North Grand. The driver did not stop to render aid and continued driving northward, leaving Tori Dunn severely injured, as SLMPD reports.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the emergency services were alerted at approximately 1:12 a.m. and promptly responded to the scene. Despite being quickly transported to the hospital, Dunn succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. Detectives are now actively looking to quickly identify and locate the suspect in connection with this incident. The abandoned vehicle involved, an Infinity QX70, was later discovered at a gas station in the 3700 block of North Grand.
The suspect is on the loose and characterized as a black male with a thin build, full beard, and unknown or short hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a t-shirt with a distinctive stag skull decal, black shorts, and uniquely colored tennis shoes. The authorities are urging the public to come forward with information that could assist in the investigation. In an effort to encourage witnesses, a cash reward for tips leading to a felony arrest is being offered through CrimeStoppers, which can be contacted at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
