A 23-year-old woman lost her life in Compton early Friday morning following a shooting incident. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) deputies arrived at the scene around 2:45 a.m. after reports of gunfire in a residential neighborhood, as reported by CBS Los Angeles.
The victim, along with two other individuals, was reportedly seated in parked vehicles on N. Kalsman Avenue near El Segundo Boulevard and Central Avenue when the shooting occurred, according to FOX LA. All three victims subsequently transported themselves to various hospitals. While the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are currently in stable condition, the identity of the deceased woman has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
