
A 4-year-old child was caught in the crossfire of a shootout on Tuesday evening in an Orange County neighborhood near Apopka, resulting in injuries, officials reported. The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. in the 400 block of North Park Avenue, detailed by WFTV, where two individuals reportedly exchanged gunfire, leading to the tragic wounding of the young victim.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office disclosed, in a statement, that the child was present during a gunfight near East Virgil Street and was unfortunately struck. According to ClickOrlando, the sheriff's officials said the child was subsequently taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition. No additional details about the child's injuries or the circumstances leading up to the shooting were immediately made available.
