Residents of St. Louis Park and beyond are invited to join the upcoming Wheelie Fun Community Bike Ride. Scheduled for September 12 at 4 p.m., cyclists of all ages and skill levels will congregate at Aquila Park for a leisurely ride that aims to embrace the joys of two-wheeled transportation while fostering a sense of community.
The ride sets off from the Aquila Park playground, located at 3100 Xylon Ave. S, and will cover a distance of approximately 1.8 miles—a manageable route designed to inclusively cater to riders regardless of experience. The path is set to follow the Cedar Lake Trail, culminating at Dakota Park. The event was first brought to attention in an announcement published on August 25th by the St. Louis Park, MN.
For those participating, not only will the ride provide an opportunity to safely explore St. Louis Park by bicycle, but it will also be momentarily sweetened with treats at Dakota Park courtesy of the event organizers. Emphasizing safety and community, the ride will be escorted by the St. Louis Park Bike Patrol. Moreover, a fire truck is expected to join the family-friendly procession, meeting riders at the end of the trail.
Ellie Rabine, St. Louis Park sustainability specialist, is readily available to address any potential questions or concerns participants may have regarding the event. Rabine can be contacted at [email protected] or by phone at 952.924.2131. The published announcement provides all the essential details to ensure the community can fully participate in what promises to be an endearing local gathering.
