
In a sobering turn of events early Saturday morning, a 19-year-old has died after being struck by a vehicle in Horseshoe Bay, according to authorities. The incident involving Abraham Misael Hernandez took place at the intersection of Tonto and Broken Arrow at approximately 1:57 a.m., CBS Austin reports.
Oliver Eve, a 27-year-old Austin resident, was arrested following the crash and faces charges of Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle, a second-degree felony, after the vehicle he was driving collided with Hernandez who was walking in the area at the time of the accident, which led to emergency personnel arriving on scene only to pronounce Hernandez deceased, following this incident, Eve was detained and booked into the Llano County Jail,
The Horseshoe Bay Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is currently overseeing the investigation into the collision, while the family of the victim potentially faces the immense challenge of navigating the aftermath of a wrongful death scenario, parties involved in similar tragedies often have the option to seek legal representation to address their rights—a process that can be crucial for securing justice for their loved ones—a local crash report advises.
