
A chemical leak in Baltimore County has been safely contained after a situation that prompted firefighters to respond to a report of a haze with an unknown odor. The incident took place yesterday afternoon at Tilley Distribution, located in the 500 block of Chesapeake Park Plaza in Middle River. According to CBS News Baltimore, the Baltimore County Fire Department confirmed there were no injuries and stated that there is no current threat to the community.
Hazmat teams, along with the Maryland Department of the Environment, convened at the scene in Middle River on Sunday, after the report of the haze and unknown odor. As per an update from NottinghamMD, the response led to the eventual containment of the leak.
Though the precise chemical nature of the leak at Tilley Distribution remains unidentified in reports, the authorities have affirmed that there is no lingering risk following the incident.
