More than three years after a fatal shooting in the Western District of Baltimore, authorities have arrested in the case. Darnell Dupree Jr., a 20-year-old resident of Baltimore, has been taken into custody in connection with the homicide of 31-year-old Aaron Lee, who was killed in the 2200 block of West Lexington Street back on March 11, 2022.
The arrest, which occurred last Thursday, was carried out without incident by Warrant Apprehension Taskforce detectives, as reported by the Baltimore Police Department's news release. Following Dupree's arrest in the 500 block of West Lexington Street, he was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
Dupree stands charged with first-degree murder, a hefty accusation that now thrusts him into the jaws of the justice system. Details on the circumstances leading up to Lee's death were not disclosed in the police statement.
