
The Baltimore Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that left a 15-year-old male victim injured in East Baltimore's Eastern District. As reported by FOX Baltimore, the incident happened yesterday, around 5:02 p.m. on the 1800 block of North Castle Street. Officers were summoned following a ShotSpotter alert, which detected gunfire in the area.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The young victim was soon transported to a hospital, where he is now listed in stable condition. According to Baltimore Witness, Eastern District shooting detectives have since taken over the investigation, seeking to unravel the circumstances that led to another youth being caught in the crosshairs of gun violence.
