Bellevue Police Department officers were summoned to a grim scene near the 3000 block of Landerholm Circle SE after receiving a death report at 7:49 p.m. last Friday. According to a social media post from the Bellevue Police Department, upon their arrival at the site, they discovered a body that had been deceased for a number of weeks in a wooded area nearby.
"Preliminary evidence at the scene suggested there were no signs of foul play," read the official statement from the Bellevue Police Department.
While the identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, further investigation is expected to provide clarity. Police are examining the circumstances leading up to the discovery, reviewing past activity, eyewitness accounts, and other evidence to piece together the individual’s final days in the forested area. Residents are encouraged to share any information that may aid the investigation.
