Los Angeles law enforcement responded Tuesday morning to a suspicious vehicle in the Mid-City region, with the bomb squad being called in to investigate the situation, CBS Los Angeles reports. The focus of the examination was a device found inside a vehicle on the 300 block of North La Brea.

Aerial footage captured a vehicle perched precariously on the sidewalk with all windows and the hatchback opened up, although by 11 a.m., authorities had not disclosed the nature of the device, closure of the immediate area followed by the arrival of the bomb squad at approximately 11:11 a.m., as per CBS Los Angeles.

The same vehicle, described as a gray SUV, was extensively searched for nearly three hours until the KTLA crew observed the Los Angeles Police Department eventually deeming it harmless. As a consequence, evacuations were lifted street closures in the Fairfax District were no longer in effect.
