The streets of Roxbury and Brighton saw a significant crackdown on drug trafficking this week, as reported by the Boston Police Department. In a coordinated effort by the Drug Control Units of District B-2 (Roxbury) and District D-14 (Allston/Brighton), three suspects were arrested on Monday, August 4, for various drug-related offenses. The operation unfolded near 63 Chelsea Street, East Boston, where law enforcement conducted their drug investigation and executed search warrants.

According to the official statement released by Boston Police Department, the primary suspect, Kyle Terrill, 34, of Roxbury, was observed leaving the address of interest. Police intercepted and placed Terrill under arrest without incident. A search of his backpack led to the discovery of significant quantities of narcotics: one large plastic bag of methamphetamine, a bag of fentanyl, and a stun gun. These were later confirmed to be 163 grams of methamphetamine and 40 grams of fentanyl.

Upon detaining Terrill, officers focused on the two individuals accompanying him, Brian Albrecht, 34, of Boston, and Stephen Linnane, 47, also of Boston. Albrecht was found to be carrying several types of drugs, including seven bags of fentanyl, two bags of cocaine, methamphetamine, suboxone pills, psychedelics, and other unidentified pills. The report details the quantity of the drugs as 14 grams of Fentanyl, 6 grams of cocaine, and 26 grams of methamphetamine. Linnane, the third suspect, had loose methamphetamine in his pockets. Both Albrecht and Linnane were also placed under arrest at the scene.

All three individuals are expected to face arraignment in East Boston District Court. The charges they face include trafficking of Class A and B substances for Terrill; trafficking, and also possession with intent to distribute for Albrecht; and possession of Class B for Linnane. The swift operation underscores the ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat the drug crisis plaguing communities and the commitment to bring wrongdoers to justice.
