
Earlier this morning, Boston law enforcement apprehended Justice Grubb, a 22-year-old Boston resident, in relation to a shooting incident in Brighton. The arrest, executed by members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit alongside the Massachusetts Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), and the Weymouth Police Department, took place at approximately 8:00 AM at 79 Central Street in Weymouth. Boston Police Department reports indicted that Grubb was sought after on a warrant, with charges including unlawful firearm possession and assault to murder.
The pursuit and eventual apprehension of Justice Grubb was significantly contributed to by the coordinated efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies. Wanted on a straight warrant issued by the Brighton District Court, his list of charges, according to the official police statement, consisted of carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, assault to murder, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. Grubb is expected to attend his arraignment in Brighton District Court.
The incident prompting these charges occurred late in the evening on June 17. Officers from the Allston/Brighton area, designated as District D-14, responded to reports of gunfire at 282 North Beacon Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound, conveyed to a local hospital with injuries not deemed life-threatening.
