
An explosion erupted in the basement of a Brooklyn dwelling last night. As reported by ABC7 New York, the incident took place around 10:45 p.m. on Empire Boulevard near Kingston Avenue. The blast's concussive force scattered debris and caused significant property damage. No injuries have been reported.
According to the New York Fire Department, as confirmed by PIX11, the explosion occurred in the basement of a two-story home. Fire officials and investigators are currently examining the cause of the explosion, which is believed to be gas-related, to determine the events that led to the incident in this residential area.
After the incident, a video posted on the Citizen App showed fire trucks and emergency responders at the scene, with approximately a dozen neighbors gathered nearby.
