A Bucks County man has been accused of stalking a 14-year-old Floridian social media influencer after developing what has been described as a "delusional online fixation" on the teen. NBC Philadelphia reports that 29-year-old Jarred Easter allegedly sent the influencer nude pictures and an onslaught of obsessive emails over three months.
Easter, from Trevose, is said to have been responding to the teen's social media posts, with the messages being one-sided. He then reportedly traveled over a thousand miles to her home in Florida. When he arrived, Easter allegedly confronted the influencer's father in their driveway, asking to speak with his daughter. According to 6ABC, Easter was arrested shortly after in an Okaloosa County hotel.
The Walton County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that this was "a sick-minded individual who convinced himself he had a relationship with a child," as stated by The Inquirer. Easter faces charges that include transmitting harmful information to a minor and using a computer to seduce a child.
Easter, who was apprehended by Walton County cyber crimes investigators, is being held on a $250,000 bond. "We are grateful the victim never saw his messages, and we are working tirelessly to ensure there are no other victims connected to this predator," Sheriff Michael Adkinson told The Inquirer.
