In a recent initiative to enhance community safety and preparedness, the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office organized Safety Town on July 25—a day dedicated to education, interactive activities, and community involvement. Designed with children in mind, the event focused on teaching essential safety procedures in a fun and engaging way, while also offering parents valuable tips to help protect their families.
Attendees at the Safety Town were treated to various interactive stations. According to a social media post by the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office, "From medicine safety and gun safety to fire prevention and the importance of seatbelts and proper car seat use, there was something for everyone to take home and put into practice."
In addition to the safety activities, the Sheriff’s Office distributed school supplies to attendees. The distribution supported students ahead of the upcoming school year and served as a community outreach effort between law enforcement and local residents.
The Sheriff's Office extended "a huge thank you to our community partners, neighboring public safety agencies and all those that attended for coming together to make this event possible and strengthen our sense of community."
