The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office seized over 3,000 marijuana plants during a raid on Hubbard Road in Sheep Ranch. Deputies found a large outdoor grow with multiple fields and hoop houses containing marijuana at different stages of growth, as reported by the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office.
Last Wednesday, the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office Marijuana Enforcement Team, using a court warrant, removed 3,232 marijuana plants. Each pound is valued at about $315, making the total estimated illegal market value around $1,018,080. The investigation also noted environmental violations. No suspects were found during the operation, but some individuals have been identified.
According to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, the Sheriff’s Office, with Code Compliance personnel checking for county violations, is investigating a large illegal marijuana grow that affected local areas.
