Per the advisement of the National Weather Service, residents should steel themselves for an intense heat event starting midweek, which is projected to "with a high risk for heat illness and fire danger." Governor Newsom's call to action was bolstered by projections from California's CalHeatScore tool, which forecasts significant areas of the state will be subjected to extreme heat levels by the week's end. The state's readiness involves gravely prepared fire engines, water tenders, bulldozers, and aerial support, among other crucial firefighting assets, in a well-orchestrated bid to better secure quick responses to emergent blazes.
