In a complementary vein, an interview by ABC7 News detailed Caltrans' progress on existing and upcoming projects, Jeff Weiss, a Caltrans spokesperson, revealed that about 14%, or roughly 80 projects from the original bike plan have been completed, with another 200 in motion, and about 270 more in the planning phase, among the highlights is the proposed expansion of bike lanes on the Bay Bridge, facilitating better movement between Oakland and San Francisco.
