The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the disappearance of an 18-year-old man, identified as Giovonni Pelletier, who went missing while en route to visit family members in Brevard County, according to officials.
Reportedly, after a family vacation in Englewood, WESH states that Pelletier left with his cousins around 1:30 a.m. last Friday, traveling north along I-75. However, his behavior took an erratic turn, deputies explained, culminating in Pelletier’s decision to exit the vehicle on State Road 70, near Manatee County. This is where his trail goes cold, and the search for him commences.
Search efforts are being executed collaboratively between the Charlotte County and Brevard County Sheriff's Offices as they scour the area for any signs of the missing teen. An urgent call has been made for anyone with information regarding Pelletier's whereabouts to come forward.
In a statement detailed by WFTV, authorities emphasized their need for community assistance: "Authorities are urging anyone with information on Pelletier’s whereabouts to contact their non-emergency number at (941) 639-2101."
