
Last week, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) shared an update on social media about a community engagement event. Officers from the Providence Division met with members of the community over coffee at Summit Coffee. Officers from the Independence Division and K9 units also attended, providing a range of law enforcement perspectives.
According to a social media post by CMPD News, officers not only had the opportunity to hand out some 'awesome CMPD swag' but also used the event to engage in dialogue and address community concerns.
