The Chatham County Board of Elections announced that its office will relocate to a new address at the end of this month to provide more space and improve voter services.
According to the Chatham County News, the current office will close at noon on Thursday and remain closed on Friday for the move. The new office at 964 East Street, Suite 101, Pittsboro, will reopen on Tuesday next week at 8:00 a.m. after the Labor Day holiday.
The new facility will include a dedicated training room for voter education and poll worker preparation. The Board of Elections stated the relocation is intended to enhance efficiency and public access.
