The City is seeking applicants to join its Multimodal Transportation Commission, with a deadline of September 12. The commission plays a role in shaping transportation options for residents, including biking, public transit, and walking.
According to the City of San Antonio’s official announcement, applicants are sought from a wide range of backgrounds, including transit riders, cyclists, traffic engineers, urban planners, and individuals connected to affordable housing, development, health, environment, or quality-of-life issues. Special consideration will be given to non-motorists and those who represent disadvantaged communities.
The Commission advises the City’s Transportation Director on exceptions to the Complete Streets Policy and provides recommendations on transportation policies, performance metrics, and potential amendments to City Code.
Meetings are held quarterly at City Tower on Tuesdays, where members receive updates and briefings from Transportation Department staff on current strategies and initiatives.
Applications and additional details are available on the City of San Antonio’s official portal.
