A dispute between neighbors in Clay County, Florida, led to gunfire and the arrest of 54-year-old Sherry Lynn Garrison. Deputies responded to reports of shots fired on the morning of Friday last week. The altercation reportedly began over dogs, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Garrison pushed one of the victims during the argument. The victim then fired warning shots into the ground. Garrison went inside her home, returned with a handgun, and fired toward the victim and another adult outside. She also shot into a home where an adult and six children were inside. No injuries were reported.
Garrison resisted arrest and struggled with deputies before being taken into custody. She faces charges including two counts of attempted murder, one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling, resisting law enforcement with violence, and simple battery.
