A Clinton County man has been indicted on charges revolving around the sexual exploitation of a child and the distribution of child pornography. Bradley Vincent, 38, from Chazy, New York, is alleged to have used a minor female, who was 15 years old at the time, to create sexually explicit material. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York, Vincent then distributed those images and is now facing a maximum of 50 years in prison if convicted.
The indictment cites incidents beginning on February 18, 2024. Acting United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III stated in a press release, "This type of conduct is despicable and will be prosecuted vigorously by my office." Federal prosecutors noted Vincent’s prior state conviction for sexual offenses, for which he received probation, with Sarcone describing that outcome as a failure of the state system to provide protection.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and New York State Police (NYSP), have been integral in the pursuit and indictment of Vincent. Their investigative efforts highlight the ongoing battle against child exploitation, a campaign bolstered by initiatives such as Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide push to address the increasing epidemic of such abuses.
Vincent faces charges that carry substantial penalties, including a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years and the possibility of lifetime supervision after release. Additional details about Project Safe Childhood, including resources and information on interagency efforts to address these offenses, are available on its website. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Carling Dunham.
