On the evening of August 5, Palm Desert Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence responding to a burglary report. Nearly three weeks after the burglary, around 6:00 p.m. yesterday, law enforcement was able to locate and then arrest Gomez. In a collaborative effort, members from the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team worked alongside Palm Desert authorities, as per the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Gomez was apprehended near Interstate 10 and Washington Street in Palm Desert and is now facing charges of residential burglary in the first degree. She was subsequently booked at the John Benoit Detention Center located in Indio.
