Flagstaff residents looking to handle property tax matters, or any business with the Coconino County Treasurer's Office now have a new destination in the heart of the city. Beginning August 18, the Treasurer's Office will operate from 110 E. Cherry Ave. in downtown Flagstaff, offering services Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., according to a recent announcement.
The relocation marks a return to the downtown area, an effort to centralize operations for enhanced public convenience. The current locale at Flagstaff Mall, 4650 N. US Highway 89 will remain open until the day of the move. Treasurer Sarah Benatar suggested that this transition "will make doing business with the Treasurer’s Office simple and convenient for residents," in a statement obtained by Coconino County officials. Yet, the merger of offices isn't just for taxpayers. It promises efficiency for employees, partner agencies, and others involved in the local government's monetary dealings.
