Columbus residents might be feeling a bit safer knowing that a stolen vehicle has been promptly recovered and a suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft. The Columbus Division of Police reported via social media that on the morning of August 10, a theft victim reported their vehicle stolen from a parking garage on the 100 block of E. Mithoff St.
The story took a turn when, just days later, last Thursday, the missing vehicle was discovered in the parking lot of a business located on the 200 block of Georgesville Rd. Video evidence from security cameras captured an individual, later identified as 30-year-old Keenan Davidson, exiting the stolen vehicle and entering the nearby business. Columbus Police moved quickly to not only recover the vehicle but also to locate and detain Davidson.
It was not long before the charges were laid. Davidson now faces serious legal repercussions for his actions—charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Breaking and Entering, according to the Columbus Division of Police. These developments reflect a swift response from local law enforcement, from the report of the theft to the arrest of a suspect.
