On a day steeped with the typical city hustle, one Dallas neighborhood became the focal point for a covert operation that ended with the apprehension of a top-tier fugitive. On Wednesday, North Central CRT officers, through diligent surveillance, captured 43-year-old Martin Deanda, a name recently etched into the list of Texas' most elusive, as reported by the Dallas Police Department. Deanda had snatched a spot on the Texas Department of Public Safety’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders, wanted for failing to comply with sex offender registration, wrapped in the legal bow of a third-degree felony.
Hoisting covert operations as their strategy, officers descended on the 5800 block of Spring Valley Road, where Deanda, oblivious to the net drawing close, was found; confirmation of his identity was just a procedural step before handcuffs clicked, signaling a transfer to the Dallas County Jail awaited.
