In a recent bust targeting drug sales in high-crime areas, the Dallas Police Department's Northeast Patrol, along with units from the Southeast, North Central, and Northwest divisions, executed a joint operation on July 18. The operation led to multiple arrests and seizures, adding up to 5 felony charges and 8 felony warrants, as well as confiscation of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, a pistol, and a stolen vehicle. This development was shared by the Dallas Police Department in a social media update.
Highlighting the results of the collaborative operation, Deputy Chief Patricia Mora advocated for the efficacy of teamwork. "Teamwork and collaboration is how we fight crime, it’s one of our strengths,” she shared in the post, further emphasizing that “The collective total of every officer's knowledge and experience enables us to do our job and do it well." Among the arrested were Elizabeth Hoad, 53, and Kylar Roussel, 22—both charged with possessing felony amounts of Methamphetamine and Cocaine. Having said that with a pistol and a stolen vehicle, Mr. Roussel found himself additionally charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, both Class A Misdemeanors, per the Dallas Police Department.
These recent crackdowns reflect the department's ongoing combat against the illegal drug trade gripping certain Dallas locales. The operations also unearthed a pattern of interlinked criminal activities, as evidenced by Roussel's multiple charges. Investigations regarding these cases are recorded under case numbers 102349-2025 and 102384-2025.
