The Dallas Police Department had called upon the community's assistance in locating 84-year-old Ms. Peggy Smith, who went missing from the 1700 block of Joan Drive last Saturday. Described as a white female with grey hair and blue eyes, Ms. Smith stands around 5’6” tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. When last observed, she donned black capri pants paired with a brown button-up shirt.
Initially reported as a missing person, the case quickly escalated to a Silver Alert due to a medical condition that Ms. Smith is living with. The Dallas Police Department updated the community, emphasizing the urgency of locating the elderly woman given her health concerns.
Thankfully, the alert for Ms. Smith was rescinded, as she was located safely. The Dallas Police have yet to disclose the circumstances of how Ms. Smith was found or the condition she was in when discovered, but they have confirmed her safety to the public. This update, providing a sigh of relief, came on the same day as the initial report and subsequent Silver Alert notice.
