Tonight, the likelihood of precipitation increases to a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The evening skies will partially clear, but the temperature will remain balmy, with a low around 76 degrees. As the south wind shifts eastward, Dallas will possibly receive new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, although this could be higher in thunderstorm-prone areas.
Moving into Friday, the chance of precipitation remains at 50 percent with the potential for both morning showers and afternoon thunderstorms. Despite the rain, the day will be mostly sunny with a high near 92 degrees and heat indexes once again topping out above 100. The camber of the weekend will culminate on Labor Day with a fresher outlook, anticipating mostly sunny conditions and a high near 89 degrees.
The extended outlook for early next week keeps the skies clear with daytime highs in the low 90s. Monday through Wednesday promise mostly sunny days with nighttime lows averaging a consistent 71 degrees, offering Dallasites a brief respite from the erratic weather preceding them.
