
Detroit police have arrested a suspect in a pool party stabbing that left two people dead and two injured earlier this month. The incident happened in the Northeast Central District near Seven Mile and reportedly started over a dispute involving a woman. Police have not released the suspect’s name, pending arraignment. Deputy Chief Arnold Williams said, “We have to do better,” as stated by FOX 2 Detroit.
A ClickOnDetroit report said the victims were a 31-year-old man, identified by family as Jakirea Williams, and a woman in her 20s. Police said the incident began as a gathering among friends and family before a fight broke out, leading to the fatal stabbing. Neighbors said the house where the incident happened is often rented for parties.
According to CBS News Detroit, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were found dead at the scene of a stabbing, while two other men were taken to the hospital, one in critical condition and the other in stable condition. Police have arrested a suspect, and the arraignment is pending as the investigation continues.
